FAQs

Do we need a passport or Chinese visa for this trip?
No — and this is worth being completely clear about, since it's the single biggest point of confusion with the full Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The Aerial Darshan flight operates entirely within Nepal's airspace, viewing Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar from a distance of roughly 15-20 km without ever crossing into Tibet. No passport, Chinese visa, or Tibet permit is required — a valid original Government-issued photo ID (Voter ID, Aadhaar, or passport) is sufficient for the domestic Nepal travel and hotel check-in involved.
Is there an age limit for this package?
No age limit at all — this is one of the biggest advantages of the Aerial Darshan over the full overland Yatra, which typically restricts participants to ages 10-70 due to the trekking and altitude involved. This package is specifically designed to be accessible to devotees of any age, including young children, elderly pilgrims, and those with physical limitations who couldn't otherwise undertake the demanding overland pilgrimage.
What exactly will we see during the flight?
The chartered aircraft flies at approximately 27,000 feet, giving clear views of the Southern Face and the rarer Eastern Face of Mount Kailash, the holy Lake Mansarovar, and neighboring peaks including Mount Api, Saipal Himal, and Nampha Peak. The flight lasts approximately 1 hour, with every passenger guaranteed a window seat.
What happens if the flight can't operate due to weather?
If the charter flight is postponed to the following day due to weather or technical reasons, any additional accommodation and related expenses beyond the two nights already included become payable by guests. If the flight does operate but Mount Kailash isn't visible due to weather conditions at altitude, you'll receive a discount toward the next available Aerial Darshan flight — please note that no cash refund applies in this situation.
Can we extend the trip to include Kathmandu?
Yes — an optional Kathmandu Spiritual Extension is available for an additional cost per person. After breakfast on Day 3 (instead of driving back to Lucknow), you'd fly from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu for an evening Pashupatinath Aarati Darshan, VIP Darshan at Pashupatinath Temple (skipping the general queue), Kathmandu sightseeing, an overnight stay at a premium 4-star hotel, and departure to India the following afternoon. Ask us for current extension pricing and availability when booking.
Are special poojas like Rudrabhishek available?
Yes, as an optional, separately chargeable add-on — let us know in advance if you'd like to arrange a personal ritual alongside the group Hawan and Pooja already included at Bageshwari Temple.
What's the cancellation policy?
The package is completely non-refundable once confirmed, and rates aren't available during peak season or blackout dates — please confirm current pricing and availability directly with us before making final payment.
