Overview

Complete all four sacred Char Dham shrines — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath — in just 6 days by helicopter, bypassing the weeks-long trekking route entirely. Take palki transport to Yamunotri's thermal springs, offer prayers at the 18th-century Gangotri Temple amid apple orchards, receive VIP darshan at Kedarnath, and close the Yatra with a rare pre-dawn Abhishek Puja inside Badrinath's sanctum. Helicopter transfers, accommodation, and full board are built in throughout — designed for devotees seeking a complete, comfortable Char Dham experience without the physical demands of the traditional trek.

FAQs

Do we need to register anywhere before this trip, even though we're booking a private helicopter package?
Yes — this is important and worth knowing before you book. The Uttarakhand government requires mandatory Char Dham Yatra registration for every pilgrim, regardless of whether you're trekking, using the public helicopter shuttle, or on a private charter package like this one. Registration is completed online, links to your Aadhaar, and includes a basic health declaration; checkpoints verify this registration at every Dham. Pilgrims without valid registration are turned back, so please complete this well before your travel dates — we can guide you through the process when you book.
Why isn't there an overnight stay at Kedarnath itself?
Kedarnath sits at roughly 3,580m, an altitude and terrain that doesn't support significant overnight guest infrastructure — this is a structural characteristic of the location itself, not a temporary situation. All Char Dham helicopter packages, ours included, arrange overnight accommodation at Guptkashi (or similarly, Phata or Sersi) rather than at the shrine, with a same-day helicopter shuttle up to Kedarnath for darshan.
What's the baggage allowance on the helicopter?
Only 5 kg of baggage per passenger is permitted, given the very limited cargo space inside the helicopter. We strongly advise against large suitcases — pack light, in a soft bag if possible, since pilots retain the right to deny boarding to excess baggage that can't be safely accommodated.
Is there a weight limit for passengers?
Yes — passenger weight above 75 kg is charged at ₹2,000 per additional kg, payable directly at the counter. This is a standard helicopter safety and fuel-load requirement across Char Dham operators, not specific to us, so please plan for this in your budget if it applies.
Are there discounts for children or senior citizens?
No — children above 2 years of age are considered full-ticket passengers, and there's no concession for children or senior citizens on this specific package, given the fixed per-seat helicopter charter cost structure.
What is Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), and should we be concerned?
This itinerary reaches genuine high-altitude terrain, and anyone travelling above roughly 10,000 feet without proper acclimatization can experience AMS — symptoms include headache, disturbed sleep, loss of appetite, nausea, breathlessness, and difficulty concentrating. Allow time to acclimatize before physical activity at each altitude stop, avoid smoking and alcohol until acclimatized, and alert your group leader immediately if symptoms appear. Medical assistance is available along the route.
What happens if weather delays or postpones part of the Yatra?
Flying schedules can change at short notice due to weather, and if the full itinerary can't be completed within the stipulated time, the operator will attempt to cover all four Dhams within the trip, though liability is limited to a refund of any genuinely unutilized sector if a Dham truly can't be reached. Any extra night's stay, meals, or transfers caused by weather delay are payable directly by guests. Please note that postponing your travel date is treated as a cancellation, subject to availability for rebooking.
What's the best time of year for this Yatra?
May-June and September-October are the recommended windows, offering the most stable flying weather. Operators typically don't run helicopter services during July-August due to the monsoon, when low visibility and rain make flying conditions unsafe.
What's the accommodation standard like along the route?
Worth setting accurate expectations here: accommodation at Yamunotri (Kharsali) and the Kedarnath-leg stopover (Guptkashi) is comfortable but modest — please don't expect luxury standards. Harsil (for Gangotri) and Badrinath offer notably better, 3-star-standard accommodation, with Harsil in particular set amid apple orchards and mountain views.
Is the VIP darshan and Abhishek Puja genuinely included, or an extra cost?
Both are included in your package cost, not optional add-ons. VIP darshan slips at Kedarnath (valued at ₹2,100 per person) let you skip the general queue, and the Badrinath Abhishek Puja (valued at ₹8,500) gives you rare, extended access inside the temple's inner sanctum to witness the deity's full Shringar ceremony — genuinely one of the most significant spiritual moments of the entire Yatra. Any additional special pujas beyond these two are bookable separately through the local temple committee, payable directly by you.
What's the cancellation policy?
The package is completely non-refundable and non-changeable once confirmed, and booking payments aren't transferable under any circumstance. Please confirm current pricing and availability directly with us before making final payment.
